Why RAW files matter for storage
A RAW photo can occupy much more space than a compressed image. In an iPhone library, a few RAW series, camera imports or ProRAW experiments can weigh more than they appear to in the grid.
Tasnif helps review these files with the same principle as large videos: show known occupied space, keep control and delete nothing without the Apple Photos confirmation.
When to review them
- After a photo session where ProRAW was enabled.
- After imports from a camera or another app.
- When iPhone storage is almost full but large videos do not explain everything.
RAW files are not bad. They simply deserve to be visible when storage gets tight.
