iPhone storage

Before adding storage, see what fills Photos

When Photos takes too much space, adding storage can be useful. But it helps to first understand which media really fills the iPhone.

Tasnif shows occupied space in the iPhone Photos library.

The useful question before paying for more

An almost full iPhone can make it feel like more storage is the only next step. The simpler first step is to check whether a few videos, screen recordings, RAW files or screenshots explain a large part of the problem.

Tasnif makes that signal visible without turning your library into a risky cleanup. Media stays on device, review progresses gradually and deletion still requires the Apple Photos confirmation.

What to look at first

  • Long videos, 4K clips and screen recordings.
  • RAW photos, imports and very large media.
  • Screenshots, probable duplicates and files worth reviewing calmly.

If those media matter, keep them. If some no longer help, you will know what to review before adding more storage.
